We are John and Caroline Brand and we live in the beautiful Clyde Valley (hence the blog name) in central Scotland., along with our two sons Paul (27) and Iain (24). For the past 30 years we have been in full-time Christian ministry, with about 12 years in pastoral work in independent churches in London and then Liverpool, followed by 14 years on the home staff of AIM International, the last 8 of which John served as European Director. John is now the Principal of The Faith Mission Bible College in Edinburgh and is also working on a Ph.D thesis on ‘A Theology of Expository Preaching’.
We are members of Harper Memorial Baptist Church, in Glasgow, where John is on the preaching team. John is also founder and chairman of Friends of Sudan. Caroline is in the final stages of training to be a registered Driving Instructor.
By means of this website we try and keep our family and supporters updated with news of our ministry commitments and other happenings. It also serves as a platform for our family tree research
